Categories for Dialogues in the Teletype App Panel

In the Teletype panel, you can filter customer conversations by categories.
Categories are linked to requests.

If a request was initially closed and then a new request came in, the new request will not have categories. They will remain on the old request.
If you need categories to be preserved, you should use tags, which are linked to the user making the request.

For example, categories like «Initial Contact», «Negotiations», «Deal», etc.

How to add categories in the Teletype panel

  1. Go to the project settings.

2. Go to the Categories section

3. Click «Add Category» or «Add»

4. Enter the category name

5. Enter the category description

6. Click «Create»

7. Created categories will be displayed to employees in the left menu of the Teletype panel

Here you can also view conversations by category to find the ones you need.

How to assign a category to a conversation in the Teletype panel

  1. Open the conversation in the Teletype panel
  2. In the right part of the panel, under the »Select Category« section, click on the desired category from the list

3. The selected category will be assigned to the conversation

4. In the «Select Category» section, you can remove or assign a new category
