Before Connecting

Before connecting a channel, you need to log in to the VKontakte social network (using an account with owner or administrator rights for the group you want to connect).

You can connect an unlimited number of VKontakte accounts to your project in Teletype.

Connecting a VKontakte Group

1. Go to the “Add Channel” section in the left menu of the Teletype panel or in the project settings. 

2. In the window that appears, select the “VKontakte” block.

3. Click “Add VKontakte to the plan.”

4. Click “Create Channel.”

5. Select the VKontakte group you want to connect to Teletype App.

6. Click “Save.”

7. Allow the app access to the connected group (this will not compromise the community’s security but will enable the app to function properly).

8. Click “Save.”

9. The connected VKontakte group channel will appear in the Channels section.

10. If needed, you can change the channel name by clicking “Edit” next to VKontakte in the “Channels” section.

11. In the edit window, change the channel name.

12. Click “Save.”

Important Information

You can only connect VKontakte one hour after logging into the social network itself. You need to log in to VKontakte, wait one hour, and only then connect the channel to Teletype.
