UMI.CMS — Chat Code Installation
You can install the chat code on a UMI.CMS platform website in two ways. Use the first method if the site is hosted externally and you do not have access to the system files. Use the second method if the site is hosted on your server and you have FTP access.
Method 1. Installation on the 1C-UMI Cloud System
1. Copy the widget code from the Online Chat settings.
2. Log in to the UMI site editor. Select the “Advertising/SEO” section. Go to the “Counter Code” tab. Paste the code into the Counter Code Management field. Save the settings.
Method 2. Installation on the UMI System
1. Copy the widget code from the Online Chat settings.
2. Access the hosting directly. Alternatively, connect via an FTP client. Navigate to the directory at: Root folder/templates/your template/tpls/content.
3. Paste the widget code into the file “footer.inc.tpl” before the <div> tag. Save the changes.
4. In some templates, also insert the code into the following files:
- inner.tpl
- index.tpl
- header.inc.tpl
- footer.inc.tpl
- empty.tpl
- content.tpl
- catalog.tpl
In these files, insert the widget code before the </body> tag.
Note: The number of files depends on the template used.
