Shop-Script — Chat Code Installation
You can install the Online Chat on a website running CMS Shop-Script in two ways. Both methods are officially confirmed by the developers.
Method 1. Installing the code via “Block”
1. Copy the widget code from the Online Chat settings.
2. Log in to your personal account. Go to the “Site” tab. Select “Blocks.”
3. Click the “New Block” button. Paste the Online Chat widget code into the text field. The ID field allows Latin letters, numbers, and underscores. There are no restrictions for the description field. Fill in both fields. Then click the “Save” button at the bottom.
4. Once completed, a code block for embedding into the template will be generated. Copy it.
5. Return to the “Site” tab. Open the “Design” section. Go to the “Templates” menu.
6. Open the index.html template file. Paste the copied code into the template before the </body> tag. Click “Save.” The widget is now added to the site.
Method 2. Installation via <head>
1. Copy the widget code from the Online Chat settings.
2. Log in to your personal account. Go to the “Site” tab. Select “Site Settings.”
3. In the “Custom JavaScript code inside <head>” block, paste the Online Chat widget code into the “Additional JavaScript code to insert before the closing <head> tag” field. Save the changes. The widget will appear on the site.
