Restoring Connection with WhatsApp

Reasons for WhatsApp Connection Disconnection

The WhatsApp connection with a mobile device can be interrupted for several reasons:

  • session expiration (14 days);
  • authorization of the same WhatsApp account in another service (for example, WhatsApp Web);
  • session closure on the device.

To restore the connection, you need to scan the QR code again with the mobile device linked to the WhatsApp phone number connected to Teletype.

Restoring the Connection

  1. In the Teletype panel settings, open the “Channels” section, select “WhatsApp,” and click “Edit.” A QR code will appear in the window that needs to be scanned.
  1. In the list of channels in the left menu of the Teletype panel, click “WhatsApp.”
  1. A message will appear in the WhatsApp message input field indicating the need to rescan, along with a button to display the QR code. In this case, simply click the button.

Important Information

If you scan the QR code with a mobile device using a different WhatsApp phone number, the connection will not be restored. You must scan the QR code with the device linked to the phone number used when connecting the WhatsApp channel.
